Successful Completion of National Students Meet 2019
Yet another successful event from MAAC, this time at Joecons Beach Resort, Goa. The National Students Meet 2019 witnessed a whopping number of 225+ students from over 20+ different cities to participate in the event.
Interesting sessions, enthralling workshops, Industry insights and much more packed the 3 day schedule. Sessions by Industry experts like Amit Rane (Director & Masterclass Mentor, DCP Expeditions LLP), Ayan Banerjee (Art Lead, Sumo Games), Nadim Akhtar (Director & Co-Founder, Digitoonz Media & Entertainment Pvt Ltd), Bharat De (VFX Supervisor, Legend 3D) & Prateek Kaushal (Stereo Supervisor, Legend 3D), Philip Varghese (Academy Manager, Technicolor Academy), Praveen Natarajan (Lead Character Artist, UBISOFT), Pranay Agarwal (Compositing Head, DNEG) and Karan Arjun Singh (Founder, Just Foley Studio) imparted immense knowledge and insights covering major aspects of the M&E industry. The exceptional mask making workshop “Behrupiya” by the MAAC R&D team was the finale of the education & learning imparted at NSM.
Apart from the Fun & Learn, there were day trips to the ‘Old Goa Church’ & ‘Dona Paula & Miramar Beach’ to witness the mesmerising beauty of the popular holiday destination. MAAC students truly had an exquisite time during the ‘Masquerade Party’ at the DJ Gala Night.
Highlights of the event
• First time ever, a spectacular session on ‘Foley Sound’ by the renowned foley artist Mr. Karan Arjun Singh
• As a souvenir, a MAAC branded bag along with a Group Photo frame handed out to all attending students.
• Fantastic output achieved by the students at the ‘Behrupiya’ mask making workshop.
• Students got a chance to explore the popular holiday destination during the sight-seeing visit.
• ‘Masquerade Party’ – the best closing ceremony for NSM 2019 GOA.

The National Students Meet 2018 – GOA was a huge success.! This edition of NSM witnessed speakers like Mr Vivek Bolar (CEO, Aum Animation Studios), Mr. Shekhar Doshi (HOD Production – Happy Finish), Mr. Madhu Nair (Head of Build, DNEG India) and Mr. RK Chand (Co-founder & Director of Business Development, Golden Robot Animation (A Greengold Animation Company}). There were also some very interesting & innovative workshops conducted by Mr Manjul Bhardwaj (Actor, Director, Writer, Facilitator and Initiator in theatre) and our very own MAAC R&D team.
The sessions and workshops went on for 3 days and the students were overwhelmed interacting with the speakers. The showstopper was Mr. Manjul Bhardwaj. He addressed all the students’ and inspired the students to follow their passion and work relentlessly through the Theatre of Relevance and Mr. Madhu Nair from DNEG, showcasing the brilliance behind Hollywood Blockbuster films Pacific Rim 2 & The Fast & Furious 8. The students took back a huge pool of knowledge and learnings and were already asking about the next National Students Meet.

The exceptional workshop “Magic of Unfading Silhouettes” by the MAAC R&D team was the finale of the education & learning imparted at NSM. Apart from the Fun & Learn, there were day trips to ‘Colva Beach’ to witness the mesmerising beauty of the popular holiday destination. MAAC students truly had an exquisite time during the DJ Gala Night.
